south-central section of the state which means within 2 to 4 hours, you can either be
breathing the fresh mountain air of the Appalachians or having fun in
the sun at the sandy Atlantic Coast. Our area is easily accessible
to three North Carolina cities including, Raleigh, Charlotte and

Climate
The Sandhills has a year
round climate that is "not too hot and not too
cold!" Our moderate temperatures and dry conditions are largely due to
the protection we receive from The Appalachian Mountains, keeping most
cold and rain-filled fronts just to our west. With a combination of
mild temperatures, sandy soil and a hilly terrain our conditions are
