Climate

The Sandhills has a year round climate that is "not too hot and not too cold!"  Our moderate temperatures and dry conditions are largely due to the protection we receive from The Appalachian Mountains, keeping most cold and rain-filled fronts just to our west.  With a combination of mild temperatures, sandy soil and a hilly terrain our conditions are almost perfect the whole year for any activity.  For today's forecast or an extended area outlook visit the National Weather Service icon at right.
